Compass Primary School

Year 4 Residential

Year 4 students recently had an action packed three day residential at PLG in Shewsbury.

Over the course of the trip the children took part in a variety of activities, which included raft building, archery, zip wire and much more. During the first evening the children gathered around the campfire and sang songs. On the second night they were treated to a disco.

Year 4 teacher Mr Knight said ‘It was a fantastic experience for all involved and the children developed so many skills on the trip such as resilience and teamwork. Even though the weather wasn’t the best, the children did not let the rain, wind or hail dampen their spirits.’

Bethany from 4MK said ‘I liked the trip because we got to experience new things we had never tried before, like the zip wire.’

Logan from 4MK said ‘It was fun, a once in a lifetime experience.’

Vidonia from 4LT said ‘I loved the climbing wall because I found it challenging, but in the end I was able to reach the top and ring the bell.’

Harley from 4LT said ‘PGL was really good, the meals were great, the activities were exciting and everything was amazing.’
