Compass Primary School

Students win second place in Trust Sports event

A group of our students recently took part in the Brooke Weston Trust Year 5 and 6 Sports Festival.

Primary schools from across the Trust gathered for the event and took part in either football or dodgeball matches. The students were split into Year groups and played against the other schools in a round robin style.

Our Year 5 students scored 3 points in both football and dodgeball and our Year 6 students scored 3 points in football, placing us in second position overall.

Head of PE at Kettering Science Academy Mr Lee Haywood, who organised the event said ‘ All the children played really well and I was impressed with their levels of skill. It was great to see them all cheering each other on.

‘The festivals give our primary schools a chance to meet up, they are always great fun and provide a bit of healthy competitiveness between them.’
