Compass Primary Academy has been awarded the International School Award Intermediate Certificate for their international work within 2018-19! 

Our intent for 2021/22

This year, Compass Primary will be applying for the full accreditation award. This involves a two-step process: coordinators first submit a school Action Plan covering the current academic year; and at the end of the year, an Impact Evaluation. 

Working on Accreditation is the final step in enhancing our school’s profile, embedding international work in the curriculum and providing a global dimension to pupil’s learning. The Accreditation level is an award that lasts for three years. If successful, our school will receive a certificate and logo that can be used on our school’s website and printed materials.

For this year, our school will be working on the following criteria:

• 7 curriculum based activities with schools around the world
• 3 of which conducted in collaboration with a partner school outside of the UK
• 1 of which including an element of foreign language learning
• Activities are conducted between September 2019 and July 2020
