SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provision is additional to or different from that made generally for all other pupils of the same age. It could be additional support within the setting or involvement from specialist support services.

Compass Primary Academy is fully inclusive, and we aim to provide a stimulating and challenging learning environment which gives every pupil the opportunity to fulfil their potential to the highest possible standard.

We value and nurture each child's unique abilities and achievements and believe that all children regardless of their ability have the right to a high quality education.

Our Approach

We are proud to offer a nurturing and inclusive environment where:

· Every child matters – We tailor our teaching to meet the diverse needs of our pupils.

· Early identification – We work closely with families and professionals to identify needs as early as possible

· Collaborative support – Our SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) leads a dedicated team that works with teachers, parents, and external specialists to create personalised support plans

· Progress and wellbeing – We regularly review each child’s progress and adapt support to ensure they continue to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Working Together

We value strong partnerships with parents and carers. Your insights and involvement are vital in helping us understand and meet your child’s needs. Together, we can build a positive and supportive journey through primary school.
