The Northamptonshire Local Offer

The Northamptonshire Local Offer for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provides comprehensive information about services and support available for children and young people aged 0 to 25 with SEND. It includes details on Education, Health, and Care services, as well as guidance on Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans, early years support, social care, and preparing for adulthood. The Local Offer is designed to help families understand what support is available, how to access it, and what to expect from local services. 

Within Northamptonshire, there is a Local Offer Team who:

• Provide information for families with children who have a special educational need and disability

• Improve choice and transparency for these families

• Help professionals to understand the range of services and provision available locally

• Improve joint commissioning arrangements for services by setting out (in a single place) what is available locally.
